About Francine Dick
For over 20 years as a financial advisor, Francine has helped hundreds of families in the GTA. Clients appreciate her non-judgemental approach, as well as her patience and open mindedness. Currently, she specializes in working with women transitioning into retirement. She was born in Toronto where she still lives in the Roncesvalles neighborhood. As a sole support mother of 3 children, Francine understands the challenges we can face in our lives and our need to be prepared for life’s unexpected events. She also knows how important it is to lead a balanced life. In that spirit, she leads hikes throughout southern Ontario for the Mosaic Outdoor Club and is a member of the Playwriting Group at the Alumnae Theatre. She has had several readings of her plays and Wedding Night in Canada was a hit at the Toronto Fringe Festival in 2010. Francine is a tireless volunteer and was the recipient of the Canada 125 Medal and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her community service.
Francine worked with Credential Financial Strategies and Qtrade Insurance Solutions, which provided financial and insurance advice to Alterna Savings and Credit Union members. She has been an advisor with Carte Financial Services Inc. since the summer of 2016 where independence allows her to provide the best service and products to her clients. However, her co-operative spirit remains. As the winner of Alterna Savings and Credit Union’s first Community Social Responsibility (CSR) Idol award, she had the opportunity of traveling to the Philippines with the Canadian Co-operative Association and observed firsthand the value of people working together for their mutual benefit. As a member of the Centre for Social Innovation, this is Francine’s outlook on life and in work.
